Welcome to My UX Design Journey

Hello, I'm Caroline Perriello, I have a strong interest in becoming a UX designer. Currently I am a complete novice with zero experience. I want to follow this path because I want to work in some aspect of technology and finding solutions to problems will be fulfilling. I also have always enjoyed art and design so I think this job will fit my interests and personality. I hope to learn the basics of web design from this course which will greatly benefit me if I truly go down this route. I hope to create visually appealing work that I will be proud of.

My Plan Forward

This website represents the beginning of my learning journey in a career centered in art and technology. I am currently taking an introduction to AI course, which will also help me understand the field of technology and how to use it to my advantage in this evolving job market. I plan to take more classes specifically tailored to coding and graphic design to become well rounded in the field. As I continue learning, I'm excited to grow the skills and knowledge I need to move forward.

For UX design, each of these areas are greatly valued. Understanding psychology isn't the first thing you would think of, but a general understanding of how users think when using a website helps to find ways to improve upon a software. User research is similar to research in psychology, it just goes more into details surrounding how people will interact with a software. Understanding graphic design is another fundamental skill to becoming a UX designer. It is important to be able to make the websites look professional. Interactive design is another main area of study in becoming a UX designer, it encapsulates the umbrella of UX design.
